My parents taught me to listen to others and serve them

With immense gratitude to God who is honoured in blessing me through you. I implore Him to bless your lives, families and apostolate. I wish to greet you and  thank you all for your great generosity and support in my priesthood and my studies.

I trust in God and  know that  besides the economic support, you will as well accompany  me in prayers through which I personally feel united with each one of you. God  will reward you all.

I am a priest from Colombia, Ibagué diocese in Tolima. I was ordained a priest nine years ago. I was born in a rural área and I am a son of a humble but very pious farmer who taught me tol ove God and the church, to listen to the other person and be at their service.

My first work as a priest was to  assist an elderly parish priest who was suffering from alzheimer.

My first work as a priest was to help an elderly parish priest suffering from Alzheimer. I then worked in the Cathedral for two years while incharge of postoral work in 12 communities. Later I was a parish priest for five years in a rural área.  In the last year I taught theology in the institute of Dogmatic theology. Next year I will go back to Colombia to serve where God and my bishop decide to send me to .

I appreciate your support and prayer. Count on my prayers for you, your families and projects. May our good Mother accompany you all.

Receive  fraternal Greetings,

José Aldemar Durán.
